Attorney Profile

Kevin started with us last month and is a great addition to the Chad Jones team. He has 8 years of experience of practicing law. He was kind enough to answer some questions so we could all get to know him better.

 

Where did you go to school?

College: Schreiner University, Kerrville, TX (Played collegiate soccer)

Law School: University of Tulsa, Tulsa, OK

Where did you start your career?

A personal injury firm in Tulsa,OK.

Where was your first job ever?

An Air Conditioning Company.

What is your favorite part of your job?

Helping people.

What is your favorite part about living in College Station?

Being near family and close proximity to outdoor activities (especially the Brazos River).

What are you most proud of( personally, or professionally)?

Professionally: Strong network, winning trial record, litigation experience.

Personally: Great family, close friends, races won, travel and life experiences over-seas, adventures had.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Hunt (deer, turkey, hogs, dove, etc), fish, run, bike, noodle, hunt for arrowheads, ANYTHING outdoors.

What type of cases are you currently working on?

Personal injury – automobile crashes, DWI’s

Biggest challenge?

Dealing with insurance adjusters.

What is the most rewarding part of job?

Helping people, exceeding expectations.

What kind of skills do you use to do your job?

Communication, negotiation, relationship building, and legal experience/knowledge.

Got any advice to those wanting to go into law?

Real life practicing law isn’t “Boston Legal” or what you see in the movies. Intern at MANY different firms and government attorney offices, make very sure that this field is for you before you take on the debt and commitment of law school and being an attorney.
